Affected by the decrease

The fact that larval American Shad are able to consume large zooplankton and select for them suggests that American Shad larvae have not been affected by the decrease in zooplankton in response to the introduction of Zebra Mussels as greatly as other pelagic species such as Alewife and Blueback Herring.
