A. Some years back, four enormous pieces of ice slammed into the planet Jupiter. We saw that on television, and the BBC went out and interviewed people on the street. When they asked an old lady whether the news worried her, she said, "Oh, no. That's the kind of thing that happens in outer space." But once you realize that we're in outer space too, and that what happened before will happen again, then you begin to loosen up a bit from the mundane, everyday realities. The trick is to hold that realization in your mind while also taking care of business.
