I keep seeing more as I consider the photo, one of several I took after convincing my phone I wasn't driving at the moment (it's a long light at this intersection). There are the candy-stripe horizontal lines framing the back, which I guess have to do with proximity and loading dock protocol. There's the rectangular metal of the hinges on either door, and the vertical locking bars. I can feel the doors swing open and shut; they seem heavy, though it might be more a matter of aspect ratio or torque. I find beauty in how patiently we all sat for the light, and how gracefully each truck's driver guided their enormous charge around the turn. Beauty too in the swoop of the line between the black and yellow, and the slight echo of that line in the shadow cast on the left vehicle by the right. Of course, the sky is pretty, too. And even as I typed that last line, I had a flash of this photo being useful as one of those 'prove you're not a robot' things the internet seems to be busy with. That makes me a little sad. But I'm real, and so are the two drivers who were there in front of me.
The vehicle to the right is THE WHOLE PACKAGE, a real KEY CONTAINER. I like that. It almost makes me feel safe, or at least, complete. The vehicle to the left is unmarked but seems to have that same yellow color, if a little paler, at least on its flank. Both have brake lights out. We're all waiting for the light. When it turned, one vehicle made a left, the other a right. I went straight.
