Finished The Sign of the Twisted Candles. I'll miss Nancy, but resist the temptation to pick up another volume. Some of what I discovered includes: Nancy is more hard core than I remembered. She drives her 'machine' so fast around some turns the vehicle goes up on two wheels. She's nearly pushed off a ladder from a second story window and proclaims she is absolutely fine. She's invited downstairs to see justice served and refuses, preferring not to see the criminal be taken away to prison. This game she's in, she plays hard, but doesn't take it lightly and would rather see everyone enjoying themselves. She speaks her mind. She thinks on her feet, but also takes the time to plan. She's a good listener, and an even better student of observation. Yes, her hair is perfect and stays that way; ditto, her attire. But her sense of fair play, her big heart, her deep friendship, is unfailing. Oh, and she drinks cocoa, not coffee.
